Today is the day for Adam to move out. His parents drove in from Nebraska yesterday and rented a U-Haul Trailer. Last night we walked to dinner at Merle’s and then rested for today’s activities.
Today we loaded the trailer, discarded a lot of stuff from the condo and gave the place a good cleaning. They are great workers.
This place gets roomier and roomier as more furniture disappears. We are down to a sofa and a chair in the living room. I still have John’s desk and chair in my bedroom, along with the air mattress.
On Monday the air mattress is being reclaimed by its owner. It was fun while it lasted.
This is Adam with his parents as they prepared to drive his possessions to Nebraska for the summer.
They left at 2:00 in the afternoon, which is two hours earlier than Hayley and her parents took off on her departure day.
Adam is staying in Chicago this weekend. One of his longtime Nebraska friends is getting married and is having a bachelor party in Chicago on Saturday.
We walked to Cosi for dinner and I treated him toa Chocolate Devotion ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery as his going-away present.
Adam will return to the condo one last time on Sunday. He will move the beer pong table to a house where some of the swimmers live. It will be his legacy.
