This afternoon the air conditioning was restored. Since I still had some residual body heat, I went to the beach and took a brief swim at eight o’clock. The sun does not go down until nine o’clock.
The water felt great for a while, and I came to my senses before I turned blue. There were some kids in the water, so I did not feel like a complete idiot.
I walked home through the Northwestern University campus. It has a nice setting by Lake Michigan and has many large trees that are green this time of year.

It looks and feels much better now than it did when I visited in November. During that visit I never saw blue sky.
